I graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science in June 2025 and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of learning, behavior, motivation, and individual differences, which I believe are important when helping students succeed academically.

I have experience working with children ages 3–6 on the autism spectrum in a clinic-based behavioral support setting, as well as experience providing in-home behavioral support. These roles taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, consistency, and adapting my approach to each child's individual needs. I learned that children do not all learn in the same way, and that breaking tasks into smaller steps, providing encouragement, practicing skills repeatedly, and celebrating progress can help make learning more manageable. I also served as president of my college's Best Buddies club, where I helped foster an inclusive and supportive community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As a tutor, I would aim to create a welcoming, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My approach would focus on identifying each student's strengths and areas for improvement, explaining concepts in an accessible way, and helping students develop effective study habits and greater confidence in their abilities. I would work to make lessons engaging and interactive while adjusting the pace and teaching methods to fit each student's needs.

I am interested in supporting elementary, middle, and high school students with their academic work, homework, and study skills. My goal is not simply to help students complete assignments, but to help them understand the material, become more independent learners, and build skills they can use throughout their education.
