Hi! I’m a recent UCLA graduate with a B.S. in Physiological Science, where I graduated in three years with a 4.0 GPA. I tutor high school and college chemistry—including general and organic chemistry—as well as algebra, biology, physics, and physiology. Chemistry is one of my strongest subjects: I earned A+ grades throughout my UCLA general and organic chemistry coursework. I have been tutoring classmates and younger students in one-on-one and group settings since middle school through after-school programs, math club, library tutoring, and online sessions during COVID.
In our sessions, I focus on identifying the specific knowledge gap that is making the material difficult. From there, we rebuild that foundation and work through problems step by step. I like to ask questions as we go so I can see how you are thinking, adjust my explanation, and make sure the reasoning makes sense rather than simply giving you an answer. My goal is to help you understand why a method works so that you can apply it independently to new problems.
For chemistry, I can help with high school and AP Chemistry, college general chemistry, and organic chemistry, including conceptual review, calculations, reaction patterns, mechanisms, homework, and exam preparation. I also tutor algebra, biology, physics, and physiology. I am currently applying to medical school, so I can also share my perspective on pre-med coursework, study strategies, and the application process when helpful.
Whether you need ongoing support or help preparing for an upcoming exam, feel free to message me with the course you are taking and the topics you want to work on.
