I’m a current Molecular and Cell Biology student at UC San Diego on the pre-med track, with a passion for science, learning, and helping others discover confidence in their own abilities. Throughout high school, I volunteered as an AP Chemistry and AP Biology tutor while also helping students in AP Calculus BC. Having personally taken these challenging courses and earned a 5 on AP Chemistry and AP Calculus BC, along with a 4 on AP Biology, I understand both the excitement and frustration that come with mastering difficult material. My academic background, including a 3.98 GPA and a 35 ACT score with a perfect Science score, has helped me develop the study strategies and problem-solving skills I now share with my students.
My lessons focus on building strong foundations, simplifying complex ideas, and creating personalized strategies that match each student’s learning style. I believe memorization should be more than just repetition, so I use creative mnemonics, visual associations, drawings, Anki-based techniques, and real-world connections to help concepts become easier to understand and remember. When working through problems, I break them down into their simplest components and guide students through practice until they develop the confidence to approach challenges independently.
Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active through pickleball, rock climbing, and hiking, while also spending time drawing and exploring my creative side. I understand how meaningful it can be to have a tutor who not only explains the material but also makes the learning process enjoyable, and I hope to provide that same experience for my students.
