I passed BS in Physics with Honors and Distinction. I received the Maurice K. Testerman award for my Ph.D. dissertation in Applied Electrostatics.
II have taught Algebra based Physics, Algebra (I and II), Trigonometry, and Precalculus to Freshman College classes and High school classes, class size of 15 – 20 students, for 7 years. Additionally, I have also tutored one-on-one students ranging from 8th grade through 11th grade for 5 years, subjects including Pre-Algebra, Algebra (I and II), and Physics.
My teaching/tutoring philosophy is based on ensuring students understand the concepts of each chapter well before going into the example problem solution. In this regard, I go through the chapter with the student, clearing any doubts or questions on the material and then guiding the student in solving the example problems, without actively solving them. This builds up a good foundation and ties the practical problems to the concepts in the chapter. I encourage students to ask me questions as we go through the concepts together. I also welcome additional teaching resources that parents or the student might bring in, the goal being to benefit the student as much as possible. I am easily reachable and will respond quickly. Feel free to contact me with additional questions or schedule a tutoring session.
