Hi, I'm Shreya! I’m an incoming medical student and UC San Diego graduate (Bioengineering Major, Biology Minor, 4.0 GPA). I recently went through the pre-med grind, scored a 525 on the MCAT (100% Percentile), and received 12 interviews at medical schools (including Mayo, Yale, and Duke). I have a passion for teaching high school and college students in a way that makes the why behind the concept click.

I’ve had hundreds of hours tutoring both high school and college students as an AP Biology and Chemistry tutor and a General Chemistry TA. I’m very comfortable explaining the same topic in different ways depending on how you learn. In sessions, we’ll be collaborative: you’ll talk through your thinking, and I’ll help guide you through any gaps. I received a 98% recommendation rate as a TA at UCSD, and one student wrote, “Shreya was the TA I trusted more than the professor. She explained difficult concepts clearly, and was super prompt in responding to all my questions and emails!” My experience makes me confident in tutoring the following subjects.
AP Bio, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Physiology
AP Chem, General Chemistry, Biochemistry
MCAT: All sections (Scored 131/132/131/131)
MCAT help:
I’ve been tutoring the MCAT for 6+ months, and whether you’re just starting content review or deep into practice problems, I got you. I’ve guided students through everything from AAMC Section Bank to UWorld passages, and I’m very familiar with how the test asks questions and what patterns show up again and again. One of my first MCAT students came to me after a 501 on her first attempt, and after a few months of consistent sessions, she raised her score to a 516 on her retake.
I really value getting to know each student as an individual, so before our first session, I would love to chat and learn more about your goals.
