My commitment to education is rooted in a career of scientific discovery and a deep passion for helping students master challenging STEM subjects. I hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Michigan State University, where I specialized in complex oxide and nanoscale materials. My mathematical foundation is exceptionally strong, as demonstrated by a perfect 800/800 score on the GRE Quantitative section. This technical expertise enabled me to conduct advanced research at Stanford University and the University of Michigan, and it continues to inform my current role as a Senior Process and Metrology Engineer at Lam Research.

My formal teaching background is both extensive and diverse. As a former Adjunct Professor of Physics at Ohlone College, I taught college-level lectures, designed rigorous laboratory curricula, and successfully transitioned all instruction to Zoom during the 2020–2021 pandemic. This experience refined my ability to deliver high-impact remote instruction, making abstract concepts in mechanics and electromagnetism both intuitive and accessible. Beyond the university level, I have substantial experience teaching High School Chemistry and Mathematics to students with a wide range of learning styles.

Some of my most rewarding outcomes come from my personal experience as a parent. By applying the Singapore Math methodology, I emphasized logical reasoning and conceptual visualization to help my daughter achieve a perfect 800/800 on the SAT Math section. Whether I am introducing a primary student to the visual foundations of Singapore Math using bar models or guiding a college student through Calculus-based Physics, I prioritize deep conceptual clarity over rote memorization. My goal is to leverage my academic training, industry experience, and parental insight to deliver a results-oriented experience that produces top-tier academic outcomes.

As a PhD in Materials Science with over 10 years of teaching experience, I bring an advanced, research-based perspective to the study of Geometry and spatial reasoning. My background allows me to simplify complex three-dimensional concepts and formal logical proofs by connecting them to real-world structural and engineering applications. I specialize in helping students master everything from coordinate geometry to Euclidean theorems, ensuring they build the rigorous analytical foundation necessary for both competitive standardized tests and higher-level STEM coursework. My goal is to transform abstract mathematical properties into intuitive, visual insights that drive long-term academic success.
