I have been tutoring students for the SAT for over a year, working one-on-one to help them improve both their scores and their confidence with the exam. I earned a 1600 on the SAT, and through both my own preparation and extensive tutoring experience, I’ve learned that success on the SAT is not just about knowing the material. It comes from recognizing patterns, understanding common question types, and approaching the test strategically rather than relying on memorization alone. My work with students focuses on building these skills in a clear and structured way.

Over the past year, I have helped multiple students raise their scores into the 1500+ range by emphasizing targeted practice and detailed mistake analysis. I spend a significant amount of time reviewing errors with students so they understand why an answer choice was tempting and how to avoid similar traps in the future. This method has been especially effective for students who feel stuck at a plateau despite studying regularly. I also help students develop pacing strategies and test-day habits that allow them to perform consistently under time pressure.

In addition to SAT tutoring, I bring a strong teaching background that supports my work with students. For the past two years, I have been involved with a nonprofit called Mustang Math, where I helped develop curriculum for competitive math programs for middle/high school students. I have also served as a tutor in my school’s Peer Resource program, assisting students in AP Physics and advanced math courses.

My goal as an SAT tutor is to help students feel in control of the exam rather than overwhelmed by it. I focus on giving students reliable strategies, a clear plan for improvement, and the confidence to apply what they know efficiently. With consistent effort and focused guidance, meaningful score improvement is achievable, and I work closely with students to make that process as effective as possible.
