I’m Michael. I graduated summa cum laude from Cal State East Bay with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Throughout school, I realized the classes I liked most weren’t necessarily the topics I was most interested in, but rather the professors who made the classes enjoyable. These professors were always engaging, made difficult concepts easy to understand, and went the extra mile when students needed additional support. I aim to bring this knowledge to my tutoring approach, and do my best to make learning a fun experience. My tutoring methods are flexible and individualized to the needs of each student.
The subjects I have tutored include statistics, trigonometry, algebra 1. I have also tutored elementary school math and reading. These are all 1-1 volunteer settings throughout my college years and beyond. I first started tutoring in 2016. The ages of the students ranged from elementary school to college.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible. Therefore, I welcome any resources or suggestions that students or parents can provide. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson.
