Hi! My name is Andrew and I am currently a dental student at UCSF. I attended the University of Southern California for my undergraduate studies and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. I know how difficult it often is to obtain concise and actionable advice when it comes to dental school applications: a process that can quickly become stressful and convoluted. After many long nights of sifting through videos, websites, and books, I was eventually able to piece together the puzzle that was my application. I interviewed at over a dozen programs and was ultimately admitted to several top dental schools, some of which include UCSF, UCLA, Columbia University, UNLV, and Case Western.
During the application process, I found it important to establish a grounded central narrative that I could route all of my academic and personal experiences towards. I believe that this approach helped me deliver a well-packaged and convincing story during interviews. As an application and interview tutor, I want to promote an individual approach when it comes to generating this "narrative." Rather than simply provide standalone pieces of advice, my goal is to encourage a process of discovery when it comes to finding one's own unique voice. In my opinion, it is often during this discovery period that compelling responses are unearthed.
Given my combination of practical experience and a genuine desire to see others succeed, I believe that my insight and guidance can greatly benefit those who are seeking to pursue a career in dentistry. Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or would like to chat. Looking forward to working with you!
