Hi I'm Purav! I recently graduated from the undergraduate portion of my BSMD program and will be starting medical school in the fall. I dedicated a substantial amount of time in high school and college to tutoring my peers in biology, chemistry, physics, and the SAT by working as a tutor at my university's campus learning center. My teaching philosophy is simple - to make students passionate about the subjects they may find daunting. I love working with motivated students to overcome their challenges and build confidence in their academic abilities. My general teaching method comprises of introducing material in a relatable way, helping students navigate nitty-gritty details without feeling lost, and leaving plenty of time for students to practice and ask questions.

I graduated college with straight As in my undergraduate coursework, including general biology and chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, engineering-based physics, neuroscience, molecular genetics, and endocrinology. I used my excellent knowledge base to score in the 95th percentile on my MCAT, including 98th percentile scores in chemistry/physics and reading comprehension. These test-taking skills and techniques originated from my SAT prep, where I scored a 780 on math on my first attempt.
