EMT/ NREMT

In 1995-96 I completed an EMT course (passed with 4.0 A) and passed the EMT exams to be certified by Orange County to work as an EMT for the county. I used my EMT license to work for a medical care company helping elderly patients for 2 years from 1996 to 1998.

Genetics

I graduated with a bachelors from the University of California, Irvine (1998) majoring in Biology, minor Chemistry. I was involved in a graduate level research project at UCI on genetics (Yeast genetics with retrotransposons for 3 years). I worked for 2 years at a genetics research laboratory at UCI and 4 years at an EPA analytical chemistry lab where I was the principal researcher in helping the lab achieve passing licensing scores on EPA tests above the 90th percentile. I have enjoyed helping students for more than 20 years with difficult critical thinking questions on advanced genetics and biochemistry concepts.
