About Me:
Currently enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education program at University of California, Riverside. I also hold an adjunct faculty teaching appointment at California State University, Fullerton in the Department of Psychology for their Biopsychology course. I have taught Statistics at California State University, San Bernardino in the Department of Psychology and have various experiences in student support and instruction rolls prior to my work at CSUSB.

I have worked as an Academic Counselor, Academic Coach, and Tutor for students with learning disabilities. I have had to think on my feet and explain various assignments through a variety of ways to ensure that the student is able to comprehend. I work with students in aiding them with breaking down the assignment into smaller pieces and have them set their own deadlines as needed. I aim to work with the student and have them self identify what pieces they would like to start with when it comes to an assignment. I provide students with tasks to complete in between sessions to ensure that they are mastering the material while not overwhelming the student altogether.

I am able to tutor individuals with ADHD/ADD due to my experience working in Project IMPACT, a program within Accessibility Services at CSU East Bay. The goal of aiding a student with ADHD/ADD is supporting the complex tasks of problem solving in respect to attention. Specifically surrounding the amount of time that a student can focus. I am able to highlight various study techniques for the student by working with them as to what works best for them. I have worked with various students across an array of Learning Disabilities.

I currently am an employed student at CSU East Bay's Accessibility Services Department as an Academic Coach in which I serve students with an array of learning disabilities. I am able to adapt to a student's needs and help them identify areas they may need improvement on. I have many techniques in which I am able to lead the student to the utilizing the best resource for themselves as well as implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis for the student.

I have been working and writing pieces to a manuscript for about 3 years now aside from my academic performance in English courses. I also have experience tutoring specific students I have worked with in the past who have struggled with English as well.

I have experience in coaching soccer for AYSO as well as playing soccer. I have played soccer for about 16 years and have played in various positions such as: Keeper (goalie), forward, center midfielder, and right wing defender. I currently work as a coach for soccer at an All Sports Summer Camp (Summer 2016) at CSU East Bay, hired through the Athletics Department. I am SafeSport certified.

I have a large amount of experience with SPSS. From working in a research lab, I am required to run various types of statistical analyses for the data. Anything from MANOVAs, to ANOVAs, linear regressions, correlations, and running Post HOC tests. I am also minoring in Statistics and we have used SPSS extensively in our courses.
