Dear Parents and Students
My name is Orlan I currently work at Haynes Education Center which is a Non Public School in Laverne. I help assist in teaching special ed students. I have a lot of experience working with students in a classroom setting. At times i have worked individually with students on their curriculum. I do not have experience in tutoring, but as a educator i have taught students for the past 20yrs. History and Social Science are the areas in which i would like to offer my service. I have worked for the Pomona Unified School District as a Instructional Aid in the classroom.
I have graduated from The University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science Business Management. I also took quite a few classes in their Masters Teaching Program. My style is one of patience when teaching students. My philosophy is that i believe threw repetition of what is being studied, that students have a better chance of retaining the information. I would like the opportunity to tutor your child and help them to succeed.
I am available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 weekly. I am married with two kids which are now grown up. I am basically a easy going person who has a passion for education. It would be a privilege to tutor you and help you.
