In 2015, I graduated from California State University, Chico with a double Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and Psychology. During that time, I balanced academics with athletics, playing water polo while working as a swim coach, athletic official, mentor for students on the autism spectrum, and high school tutor. These early experiences gave me a strong foundation in communication, patience, and adapting my approach to meet each student’s individual needs.
Following graduation, I pursued a career as a K–12 multiple-subject educator. I have taught students across grade levels in both classroom and small-group settings, and I have worked one-on-one with learners who benefit from more individualized attention. As an educator, I have organized after-school academic programs, founded a Spanish language acquisition program, and completed professional development in inquiry-based learning, which emphasizes curiosity, critical thinking, and student engagement. I also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Massachusetts Global, further strengthening my understanding of how students learn and how to support them effectively.
I have experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students, and I enjoy helping learners at different stages build confidence and mastery in their subjects. My tutoring style is supportive, structured, and responsive: I take time to understand each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, then tailor lessons to match their learning style. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying motivated, or pushing ahead, I strive to create a positive, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and proud of their progress
