Hi! My name is Bridgit. I am currently a student at University of Oregon, majoring in Business and Political Science with a minor in Italian. I graduated from St. Monica Preparatory with a 4.6 GPA. I've received the highest possible score (5) on both AP US History and AP Government. I also excelled at AP Language and AP Literature.

At St. Monica's, I started a tutoring program for the middle school with some of my classmates. I organized meeting with my peers and the High school faculty to discuss logistics of the tutoring program such as where and when to hold sessions. I then got the word out to other students and sorted through tutor applications from them. After tutors were selected, I launched the program by communicating with elementary and middle school teachers at St. Monica. Through the program, my peers and I were able to not only help younger students improve their grades, but also become mentors and role models for them. I tutored kids in Essay Writing, AP Test Prep for English and History exams, and even got to teach guitar occasionally, which is something I am very passionate about. I have been playing guitar and writing songs since age 7.

Tutoring at St. Monicas was such a rewarding experience. Since then I've been looking for ways to continue tutoring students while I attend college. I tutored my college friend in Statistics after she got a C on her midterm exam. We worked together for a few weeks once a week. When she told me that she got an A on her final I was so excited and I remembered how it felt to tutor students and make a positive impact in their education.
