I want to help anyone who is struggling with their summer assignment for AP chemistry!

I am a credentialed chemistry teacher who is returning to her first passion: helping students one on one and in small groups.

If you can get the quantitative part of AP chem done before school starts, you will already be in position to get a 3 on the test. It only gets better from there!

In-person rate = $60 per hour, On-line rate = $50 per hour

For IN-PERSON sessions only: If we go over 1 hour, I will charge $15 for every additional half hour, up to 2 hours. This means that 1-1.5 hours is $75 and 1.5-2 hours is $90.

I have a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of San Diego and a Ph.D. Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I took at least 4 semesters of organic chemistry at the University of San Diego when I earned my Bachelor's degree. I then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This required graduate level Synthesis, Mechanisms, and Spectroscopy classes. Then, of course, I worked in the lab using my knowledge for several years.

Fantastic tutor!

Ellen is my daughter's tutor in honors chemistry. Ellen has deep knowledge of the subject and is always able to explain and interconnect concepts so that topics become clear as a whole scientific concept.
