Hi! I'm an aerospace engineer and experienced math tutor with over 13 years of tutoring and teaching experience. I earned my B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington, graduating with a 3.8 GPA and earning four semesters of Dean's List honors with a 4.0 GPA.

Hi! I'm an aerospace engineer and experienced math tutor with over 13 years of tutoring and teaching experience. I earned my B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington, graduating with a 3.8 GPA and earning four semesters of Dean's List honors with a 4.0 GPA.

Whether you're struggling with a class, preparing for an exam, catching up on fundamentals, or trying to get ahead, my goal is to make difficult material feel manageable and give you the confidence to solve problems independently.

I've spent more than 8 years tutoring math, working with students in subjects ranging from Algebra I and Geometry through Calculus II. Because I use mathematics professionally as an aerospace engineer, I enjoy showing students not only how to solve a problem, but why the math works and how the concepts connect to real-world applications. I've also worked as a university teaching assistant for engineering courses, leading review sessions, supporting students during office hours, and helping students work through challenging technical concepts.

My approach to tutoring is patient, practical, and tailored to the individual student. I don't expect every student to learn the same way, so I'll often explain a concept from several different angles until we find the one that clicks. I focus on building a strong understanding of the fundamentals rather than simply memorizing steps or formulas. Once students understand why they're doing something, more difficult problems tend to become much less intimidating.

I also have five years of experience tutoring the ASVAB. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who scored a 99 on the ASVAB, I can help students strengthen both the academic knowledge and problem-solving strategies needed for the exam.

Patient and Very Helpful!

So pleased with my tutoring session with Aarron! He was very patient, knowledgable and super helpful. He walked me through problems step-by-step and made sure I understood, if I didn't, he tried explaining it differently till I did. I feel like I was given some really useful tips and strategies for solving problems on my own and I feel much better about tackling this subject.
