Hello, I am glad you stumbled across my profile here on Wyzant. First and foremost I love teaching any individual about any and every subject I have listed here on my profile. I have been a tutor for all levels of mathematics, general physics, and all levels of chemistry for over 10 years. I have worked in various math centers on college campuses and for various tutoring companies around the greater Sacramento area as well as in central Texas. I can help elementary level through college. I have several methods that I use to help anyone reach their goals. My most used and most typical tutoring method is a question and answer session type situation. Students will come to me with their half completed homework or exam review guide and we will go through the problems that they are struggling with. Another similar version of this is instead of the student working on their homework or exam review on their own we work on it together from start to finish and outline step by step ways of doing each problem. One of my last versions is starting from the professor's lecture or notes taken in class and making a new one on one lecture. I have my clients email or text me pictures of their notes or homework the day before we meet so I can make new examples that we can run through together in a more formal lesson setting.

What I love most about tutoring is seeing "Ah ha" moments when students finally understand material. I also love revisiting my favorite courses and teaching others to love them as much as I do.

I am an outstanding math tutor because I can think outside the box when teaching others. I also have a vast repertoire of knowledge that can be used to assist in explaining difficult concepts. My ongoing love of all things mathematics helps me inspire others and help them pass their courses.

I am qualified to tutor algebra 1 because I realize how important understanding this material is in for future courses. I passed algebra 1 with an A many years ago, but I helped students while I worked in the math center at Baylor university and I tutor at least 4 a semester in it. I also recognize where most students struggle immediately I am able to show them proper steps while maintaining kindness and patience. Wonderful tutor

Robyn was so helpful! She showed my daughter different ways of doing the math equations, since the way my daughters teacher showed her made no sense. We will definitely be booking more sessions with her!
