My name is Daniel but many of my students call me "Mr. G"! I have taught group classes but prefer tutoring. I have over 25 years of teaching experience. In the last 8 years I have focused on private tutoring. I am an expert singer and voice teacher. I am an advanced guitarist and teacher. I am a beginning piano teacher but have a great way to get students to experience success immediately. I teach conversational Spanish. I learned by immersion, yet I understand all the grammar and linguistic rules. I am recently married and have to daughters who are both Valedictorians and visual artists.

I love to make learning fun and efficient. I completed the teaching credential credits for certification at Chapman University but chose not to become a full-time teacher. I know how to create a curriculum and make a lesson plan. Feel free to try me out to see if we work well together.

I took classes in Latin, German and Spanish in High School and Graduate school. My Spanish education was an immersion program with no English allowed during a 6 week live-in program. But it was the intense on-the-job training in a Mexican-American Catholic Parish that makes me uniquely qualified to help others learn how to converse and communicate in a foreign language

Experience, expertise and excellent attitude makes working with me a great choice for special tutoring needs.

It's great working with David!

It's been great working with Daniel. Very knowledgeable and always has a alternative approach to a skill if I'm not getting it. I've learned to bring out my own voice and have been able to hear when I am falling out of key. I never thought I would get that. I'm learning a lot, progressing and having a lot of fun.

Daniel is great

Daniel has saves my career. He has helped me find the voice that was always there but was hiding behind bad habits. He is amazing and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Knowledgeable

Daniel really helps you visualize the techniques needed to become a better singer. He breaks it down to literal science, while also simplifying it for me to utilize on my own. I especially like that he wants me to not injure myself in the process. And then explains that in detail as well. Stuff no one ever taught me in all my years of singing.

Knowledgeable and patient turor

Daniel taught how to do the fry voice, vocalization accompanied by guitar chords, and playing songs using the chord sheets (lyrics and chords shown, no tabs and no staff). Also went over vocalization of sirens, scales in staccato and smooth.

Daniel is an excellent Coach

Daniel made me feel very comfortable with the whole process he is very knowledgeable and made the session fun. I was a bit nervous and to be honest a bit embarrassed but he made me feel comfortable.

Straightforward and Very Purposeful!

He has taught me how to be stingy with air by holding my abdominal muscles tight so I can prolong any singing practice for longer periods of time, I have learned the singing vowels practiced along with a simple scale that's perfect for my level, as well as throwing my whole voice together instead of just selections of it. Knows exactly what he's doing and pays great attention to detail giving 100% to the progress of his students. He is very purposeful with his lessons and gives me great ways to practice what I want to improve on. Couldn't be happier!

Excellent teacher that makes it fun

Daniel is a master voice teacher. I had trouble with pitch tone and projection. He helped me use a variety of techniques to produce the correct pitch and stay on it consistently. He helped me to develop tonal quality that my friends and even strangers actually enjoy hearing when I sing. In addition I used to be brassy but now I have a richer stronger resonance which also helps with my job. In addition he does all this with a great sense of humor and a personal touch that helped me overcome my anxieties and gain confidence.

Highly Recommended!!! Skillful, knowledgable, fun, supportive, sincere, professional, kind... the list could go on!

Your search for the right vocal coach can come to an end! Mr. G is greatness! I feel so grateful to be learning from him. I really can't believe how fortunate I was to find him. He has taught me so much about the physiological, spiritual, cognitive, and emotional components of singing. I work as a music therapist and he shows genuine interest in my work and provides feedback not only to make me a better vocalist, but a better therapist as well. Learning best singing practices with Mr. G is a joyful and fun experience that I look forward to every week!
