Hello there! I'm Adam. I have a BA in English (BYU) and an MFA in Creative Writing. Currently, I'm an adjunct English professor at BYUI. Formerly, I taught at a community college and was a high school English teacher (9th and 12th grade). I have years of experience tutoring for Varsity Tutors, Tutor Doctor, Wyzant, Boys and Girls Club, etc.

Over the years I've held various positions of responsibility in different organizations, which have often required me to give speeches in front of large crowds. I took a public speaking class my first year of college, and since then I've taught at 3 different schools for over 3 and a half years. This has helped me master the art of public speaking. Even more so, I've done public speaking in multiple languages, something that can be nerve racking for many people (when not speaking in your native tongue).

Study Skills

I have always excelled in school not because I was smarter than everyone else, but because I work hard. Studying can be a challenge no matter the subject, but I've learned various skills and habits that have helped me over the years. These study skills enabled me to pass 9 AP tests in high school and improve my score drastically on my second attempt at the SAT. They helped me get a 4.0 my first year at college and maintain a 3.89 gpa since then.

Great Tutor!

Adam helped me to prepare for an Assessment Test in Math. I didn't do any math for a while so it was good to have some who can explain everything to you and who you can ask question. Adam did a good job at that! He was good at explaining the math problems and answering my questions. I would recommend him at any time.
