Besides K-5 literacy & mathematics and middle & high mathematics, English learning, and writing, I am experienced with online platforms and various educational tools, such as Microsoft products (Excel, Powerpoint), Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and Learning Management Systems.

Additionally, I read about 35 books per year to stay abreast of various topics (including STEM, career planning, industry trends, technology, science, entrepreneurship) and have completed various post-secondary degrees (B.A., M.Ed., M.A.). I have written for publication and was nominated for dissertation of the year for my research and writing.

I come from a family of engineers, so problem-solving, critical thinking, complex instruction, and equitable education are passions of mine, especially as it pertains to helping students overcome a challenge in their learning journey. I try to make all of my instructional applications practical and understandable.

Amazing Tutor

Jamie is very patient and always prepared with a well established lesson plan to best address the learning needs of my sister. I highly recommend her for tutoring especially for any tutoring for children with learning difficulties.

Great tutor

I think when a child looks forward to working with a tutor that is the best review a tutor can get and this is exactly what happens when we have sessions with Jamie. Jamie has a well thought out plan for the tutoring session and uses the most motivating reenforcers when working with my child.
