I'm Mike. I graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Cortland in 2016. As a sophomore in college, I became a peer writing skills tutor. I quickly developed a passion for helping peers improve their papers and writing skills to foster an affinity and appreciation for what an invaluable asset writing can be. From this, I've developed a personable, laid-back, and collaborative approach to ensure my students don't dread writing and feel genuinely confident they can write academically on their own.
I have worked with students of all ages and walks of life in more conventional classroom settings as well, not just online. Remotely, though, I have tutored for the reputable tutor.com for over two years, tutorme.com, which maintains an extremely competitive 4% acceptance rate for their tutors, and Upswing.io, an online tutoring platform that connected with me countless underserved students across the country.
Working as a tutor and educator imbues me with gratification, humility and solace. It has been my life's honor to have overseen and assisted the growth and development of thousands of individual students across all conceivable borders, both tangible and mental.
