I earned a B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego and have provided one-on-one science tutoring since 2023. I work with high school and college students in AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism, general biology and chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and immunology. My academic background allows me to explain foundational concepts while addressing the depth and problem-solving skills required for advanced coursework and cumulative examinations.
I begin by identifying whether a student’s difficulty stems from conceptual gaps, quantitative problem-solving, study organization, or test-taking strategy. I then break complex material into clear steps, use diagrams and guided questions to assess understanding, and reinforce each concept through targeted practice. In physics and chemistry, I emphasize a consistent process for translating information into equations and evaluating each step. In biology and biochemistry, I help students organize interconnected pathways and mechanisms into logical frameworks rather than relying on isolated memorization.
My tutoring is collaborative and adapted to each student’s course, instructor, learning needs, and upcoming assessments. I have supported students with homework, laboratory concepts, quizzes, midterms, final examinations, and AP-style questions in individualized tutoring settings. I also help students develop realistic study plans, active-recall routines, and problem-solving strategies they can apply independently.
My goal is for every student to leave each session with a stronger understanding of the material and a clear plan for continued improvement. I strive to create a patient, focused environment in which students can ask questions openly, correct misunderstandings, and build confidence through measurable academic progress.
