I earned my Bachelor’s degree with honors and distinction from Stanford University in History and German Studies and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Anthropology at the University of Vienna. I currently work as an English language assistant at a secondary school (Gymnasium) in Vienna, where I teach in a classroom setting and also work one-on-one with students preparing for major exams. I tutor writing, English, German, history, and college essays, and I especially enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that can sometimes feel intimidating.
My teaching experience spans a wide range of ages and settings. For four years, I taught English one-on-one to Spanish-speaking adult learners, helping students strengthen their communication skills and confidence with the language. I also worked for three years as a writing tutor for college students, helping students improve essays, develop stronger arguments, organize their ideas, and refine their writing style. In addition, I have taught art and introductory coding classes to elementary school students, giving me experience adapting lessons for younger learners as well. I hold an ACTFL Advanced High certification in German and am happy to work with students at different levels of language learning.
My approach to tutoring is encouraging, thoughtful, and individualized. As a student, I benefited enormously from teachers who challenged me to pursue my interests and develop confidence in my abilities, and I try to bring that same encouragement to my own students. Whether we are working on academic writing, improving English skills, learning German, preparing for history coursework, or developing a strong college essay, I believe learning works best when students feel supported, engaged, and genuinely proud of the work they produce. Alongside strong fundamentals and practical skills, I aim to help students become more confident and independent learners.
