SAT/PSAT Prep Expert (Math and R&W)

Hi! My name is Sarah, and I’m passionate about helping students break down standardized exams, so that they are understandable and beatable!

I don’t just teach content, I also teach test strategies. My students learn how to break down every problem using time-sensitive techniques. All standardized exams rely on the same skills: (1) simplify passages or problems (2) identify the objective, and (3) systematically eliminate wrong choices.

I love teaching! My goal is to make concepts click, boost confidence, and even spark some curiosity in the process. I always tell my students to not just look for answers, but patterns: they exist in both SAT Math, SAT R&W, AP exams, and all subjects.

I’m a National Merit Scholar, meaning I scored a Perfect PSAT Score (1520), and my SAT score is 1560 (800 Math; 760 R&W).

In high school, I led my Academic Decathlon team to the State and the National Competitions. I began my tutoring career there, having tutored tens of my peers for both competitions, and then for successful standardized test-taking. I’m also a certified tutor on the peer-tutoring platform Schoolhouse.world. I’ve scored a 5 on every AP exam I’ve taken (including Calculus B/C, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language).

I tailor lessons to each student, identifying their specific needs and crafting lessons for students to both understand the content and develop the test-taking skills they need to succeed.
