Hello! My name is Jordan, and I am a Stanford graduate who will be starting medical school this summer. I hold a B.S. in Neurobiology and an M.S. in Biology from Stanford, and I have a longstanding passion for teaching and mentorship. I enjoy helping students navigate challenging material and make meaningful academic progress.
I have worked with students across a wide range of ages and subjects. I began by tutoring elementary and middle school students in math and English, and later served as a peer tutor in subjects including biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, and calculus. At Stanford, I also worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Biology department, supporting undergraduate students in mastering complex material.
For students pursuing the pre-medical path, I offer guidance on the medical school application process, including overall strategy, school selection, personal statement development, secondary writing, and interview preparation. Having recently completed the application cycle myself (50+ schools, 13 interviews, and multiple acceptances at highly ranked institutions), I understand both the practical and strategic aspects of the process and aim to help students navigate it with clarity and confidence.
I also specialize in standardized test preparation. I scored a 1580 on the SAT, achieved 5s on several AP exams, and scored a 521 on the MCAT. My approach emphasizes building a structured study plan, developing effective test-taking strategies, and identifying the specific areas holding each student back. I focus not only on content mastery but also on helping students think clearly under pressure and approach exams with confidence. Having developed these methods through my own experience preparing for high-stakes exams, I aim to help each student find the strategies that work best for them and achieve their target score.
If you’re interested in working together or would like to learn more, please feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to connect and find a time that works!
