I am a credentialed science teacher with a Master’s in Science Education from CSUN, holding credentials in both Physics and Earth/Space Science. Over the past few years, I have gained diverse classroom experience teaching high school physics, Earth science, astronomy, and middle school science across public, private, and charter school settings. This variety has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching to meet the unique needs of different student populations.
My teaching philosophy centers on building students’ deep conceptual understanding of scientific principles. I strive to make complex topics accessible and engaging by using clear, straightforward explanations paired with real-world examples and hands-on activities. This approach helps students connect classroom learning to everyday phenomena, making science relevant and meaningful.
Outside the classroom, I have volunteered as a docent at the Space Shuttle Endeavour exhibit at the California Science Center, helping to educate the public about space exploration history. Additionally, I have contributed as a volunteer at Griffith Observatory star parties through LA Astronomical Society and the Planetary Society, engaging the public in astronomy, physics, and Earth science while fostering public interest in the sciences.
These experiences have further fueled my passion for space science and outreach, and they help me bring real-world enthusiasm and deeper context to my tutoring sessions, making lessons more engaging and relatable for students.
