About Frank

Bio

I have tutored physics and math students since I was in college, with most of my emphasis on introductory physics courses for students in other departments (e.g. pre-med), and undergraduate math classes. I also have tutored high school calculus and other math classes. In addition to tutoring, I work as a data scientist where I apply my technical knowledge to real-world problems.

I love working through problems with students and seeing when they grasp the methods and are able to apply them to solve new problems. I enjoy working with students at all stages, especially in the late high-school and college age ranges. I excel at breaking problems down into smaller pieces to help walk through the thought process they need to reach the end solution.

Please reach out if you'd like to work with me! I am excited to hear from you and to schedule our first lesson.

I started my physics education with two years of IB Physics in high school. Following that, I received a BS in Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. When I was an upper division student at UCSC I worked as an individual and small group tutor for lower division physics and math classes, and also held drop-in study sessions for lower division physics. Finally, when I was in graduate school at UC Berkeley, I worked as a TA for two semesters in lower division Physics where I led lab sessions, and I also worked as an individual physics tutor.
