Hello! My name is Georgia F. and I am a recent CSU East Bay graduate. I have a degree in Voice and Music Education and have experience teaching and tutoring in many facets of music, such as music history, music theory, aural skills (sight singing), piano, and voice.

Over the last few years, I have worked with students of many levels, and helped them develop their skills in order to reach their musical goals! As a current teaching credential candidate, I can assure you that your student will receive a learning experience tailored to their needs and interests.

Due to the pandemic, I am currently accepting students in a remote learning setting.

I have a degree in Music Education and have focused extensively on multiple subjects within music. Students of mine excel at music theory and music history. I am experienced in teaching all levels of voice, beginning and intermediate piano, as well as K-5 general music.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have! I’d love to meet you and learn about how I can best help your student!

Approved Subjects

General Music

General Music

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Voice, In my general music sessions, students focus on learning basic music theory while singing and moving. By incorporating both singing and movement, students begin to build their aural skills and find an intrinsic sense of pulse. The activities I incorporate are based on Kodaly and Dalcroze activities that I have learned from experts in the field.
Music History

Music History

Through my musical training, I have studied Western Music History as well as World Music. I am able to discuss the theory techniques and common aspects of music in particular time periods, as well as how music from around the world has influenced music today.
Piano

Piano

While not primarily a pianist, I have teaching beginning and intermediate students for 2 years. I passed the piano proficiency exam at CSU East Bay where I studied with Dr. Omri Shimron. Students of mine follow the Faber music curriculum.
Voice (Music)

Voice (Music)

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Voice and have been studying the instrument for over ten years. I have experience in solo performance as well as choral. Students of mine focus on healthy vocal techniques as well as aural skills.
