Hi! I am a Northwestern Math PhD student who is interested in math pedagogy at all levels. I completed my undergraduate degree in math at UC Berkeley with highest honors and received the Dorothea Klumpke Roberts prize for exceptional scholarship in mathematics. I am back in the Bay Area for the year and I am looking to engage with math education in all of its forms! I am particularly keen on tutoring proof-based math of any stage (introductory to graduate), but I am happy to tutor standard Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Linear Algebra, etc. as well!
I began tutoring in middle school and have continued to do so on and off since. I have served as both a drop-in and a self-paced math tutor at Diablo Valley College, helping students of all ages with material ranging from pre-algebra to discrete mathematics. Most recently, I served as Junior Staff at a summer math program for gifted high schoolers, the Hampshire College Summer Studies in Mathematics. In that role, I worked to facilitate an active inquiry-based learning environment and continually monitored student progress. I am hoping to continue my work ensuring student success and supporting students along their mathematical journey however I can. I am here to help, so please reach out if you think there's anything I might be able to do!
