Hello and Hola! I am a bilingual public historian with a B.A. in History and Spanish and an M.A. in History with a specialization in Public History. I also have a micro-credential in Digital Humanities, meaning I am skilled in bridging the humanities with technology. I was an ESL teacher at Memorial Administrative Ministries (MAM) in 2021, a Teaching Assistant in a U.S. Survey Course in 2024, and developed curriculum as a graduate student program manager for the Summer Internship in Public History and Digital Humanities (SIPHDH) in 2024. I have also been a yoga instructor for people of all ages between.
I offer tutoring in subjects like U.S., American, and World History, English, and Spanish and skills such as writing, research, historical thinking, interviewing, note-taking, and public speaking. Examples of what I can teach include academic/public writing, productive research methods, and functional English language skills. I can teach one-on-one or in group settings, helping the student think through the problem themselves. By developing an understanding of the subject matter or skill, a student is ready to implement or explain it in an academic or real-life setting.
My experience is tutoring University-age or adult learners. I am also open to teaching high school, middle, or elementary school level.
Alongside teaching, I enjoy reading, Latin dancing, and watching movies. I look forward to helping you or your loved one improve themselves and feel more confident in their subject matter or skill level.
