I have a strong background in mathematics and a deep passion for helping students build confidence in problem-solving. I earned my MS and PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering (Applied Math) and have spent several years applying analytical thinking in both academic and professional settings. Over time, I discovered how much I enjoy breaking down math concepts into simple, intuitive steps that make sense to students who may have previously struggled.
For the past few years, I have worked as a math tutor. I have taught students primarily in grades 6 through 12, covering topics such as pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, ratios, exponents, and pre/calculus. My tutoring experience includes both one-on-one and small-group settings, through online setup. I focus on understanding each student’s unique learning style and adjusting my approach—whether that means visual explanations, step-by-step reasoning, or guided practice.
My teaching style emphasizes building conceptual understanding first and then reinforcing it with challenging problems that encourage critical thinking. I believe math success comes not just from memorizing formulas but from understanding the “why” behind each step. Watching students go from hesitant to confident problem-solvers has been the most rewarding part of my tutoring journey, and it continues to inspire the way I teach every day.
