I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mathematics from Cal State LA and have extensive experience helping students succeed in their math courses. As a Supplemental Instruction Leader, I worked closely with students in Calculus 2, Calculus 3, and Linear Algebra, providing structured support through group sessions and one-on-one guidance. Many of my regular students attended multiple sessions each week, and I had the privilege of mentoring some throughout several courses in their academic journey. Even after my time with the college, students continue to seek my help, which speaks to the lasting relationships I build and my commitment to their success.
In addition to my work with college students, I also serve as a math instructor for high school students during the summer at the college, where I teach intensive courses designed to strengthen their mathematical foundation and prepare them for higher-level coursework. Twice a month, I also instruct students who typically come from disadvantaged, underfunded schools, helping them bridge gaps in their education and develop confidence in their mathematical abilities.
I believe that quality instruction should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, intuition, and problem-solving skills, ensuring that students not only understand the material but also build a strong foundation for future success.
