I earned my B.A. in Political Science from UC San Diego, where I also worked as a poetry TA and a tutor in political development. I later attended George Washington University for graduate study in Political Management. My academic background gave me a strong foundation in writing, analysis, argumentation, and close reading, all of which now shape the way I tutor students in English, writing, reading comprehension, and related humanities subjects.
I taught for five years at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, and I currently teach at Maranatha Christian School. Through those experiences, I have worked with students in classroom settings and helped them grow in reading comprehension, analytical writing, grammar, and sentence fluency. I have taught students across a range of ages and skill levels, and I aim to make challenging material clear, structured, and approachable while still maintaining high standards.
My current teaching style also incorporates my own researched instructional approach, which I call Link Learning. This method connects elements of classical learning with modern technologies in order to help students build stronger understanding, retention, and engagement. In addition to my classroom teaching, I have worked as a freelance editor since 2016, specializing in college application essays and professional syntax revision. That one-on-one experience has allowed me to tailor instruction to individual students, whether they need help with essay structure, clarity, argumentation, or confidence in their writing. My goal is always to provide thoughtful, personalized support that helps students grow into stronger, more capable learners
