Hi there, and nice to meet you! I'm Lawrence. If you're a middle or high schooler looking for effective test prep, or a bright elementary student eager to advance your STEM skills, I am here to help you succeed.
My qualifications first: I've just graduated High Honors in a rigorous SF Bay Area high school; have achieved 1520 PSAT and 36 ACT (both perfect scores, attained by less than 1 in 400 high schoolers); have taken and passed 12 APs (9 5s and 3 4s); have garnered acceptances to prestigious undergraduate institutions such as UT Austin, UC Santa Barbara, UIUC, Case Western Reserve, and Amherst College on the pre-med track; and have tutored / TA-ed my fellow classmates and underclassmen to great success for over the past 5 years. So, if you're a middle or high schooler (or their parent) and need quick and effective test prep over the summer – or maybe a bright elementary school student looking to advance their skills in STEM – feel free to reach out!
From my own academic journey, I’ve learned that us students thrive when we do two things: associate difficult or complex concepts with real-world context, and leverage personalized tips, tricks, and cognitive shortcuts. In this regard, I do my best in customizing each student's learning track based on their interest, ability, and learning style, and my goal is to deliver maximum results while fostering those rewarding "ohhh, so that’s how it works!" breakthroughs within the best time frame.
I offer fast response times and welcome collaboration with parents and guardians to tailor my approach. I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals – feel free to reach out at any time!
