My background is diverse: I’ve tutored independently, worked for a private tutoring company, and taught at a school. My passion for tutoring began in middle school, when I helped friends untangle tricky concepts. Even then, I discovered a knack for making challenging ideas click.
Professionally, I’ve tutored at a local high school facing overcrowded classrooms of 35–40 students per teacher. The program supported all students, with targeted classes for those struggling academically. At a private tutoring company, I gained experience teaching in small groups, received SAT/ACT training, and led classes in Math Readiness, Personal Finance, and Math Exploration.
Still, my greatest joy comes from one-on-one tutoring. Many of my students have worked with me throughout their entire high school careers, proudly graduating from **Shirley C Tutoring**. Often, after improving their grades, they continue with me to master the next level of math.
