Hi, my name is Alyssa and I am a recent grad from Brandeis University! I have been a tutor since high school, when I participated in a class specifically to learn how to tutor for other students in our school. I continued tutoring in college as a volunteer to help teach elementary school students how to read and do basic math. I consider teaching to be one of my strengths, as I understand that there are many ways to learn one concept, and I am good at making a personal connection with my students.
Besides tutoring, I work in a synthetic biochemistry laboratory and have regularly babysat on UrbanSitter for the last 5 years! I also plan to continue my education by getting a PhD in molecular biology. I love sports, and am a very active person, having played softball in college and throughout most of my life. I love animals, and have two dogs of my own!
I have a Bachelors in Biology from Brandeis University and currently work in a synthetic biochemistry lab.
