I recently graduated from UC Berkeley in 3 years with double major for a B.A. in psychology with honors, cognitive science, and a minor in clinical/counseling psychology. Joyce was really helpful in tutoring me Chemistry and Calculus to help me prepare for the AP Chemistry and AP Calculus BC exams, which I got 5’s on! I love her teaching style; it is super straightforward and easy to understand as a student. Before I knew Joyce, I was struggling a lot on applying my knowledge in both subjects to AP-style practice problems to prepare for the exam, but through each session, Joyce helped me improve as we went through each question really thoroughly. She is super knowledgeable and loves to teach, so I was excited for every session! I would highly recommend Joyce for anyone.

Best Tutor for Math
Joyce is an awesome teacher. My daughters love working with Joyce, they love asking her questions as she is patient and can answer in multiple ways. Joyce has helped both (9th and 11th graders) on many tests and with homework questions. She explained everything so clearly and kept the girls engaged the whole time, which is hard to do with subjects like pre calc and geometry. She was patient, super knowledgeable, and made the material way less intimidating. Honestly one of the nicest and most effective tutors we have found — she is great with scheduling and very thoughtful - highly recommend!

I have been working with Joyce once a week for about three months to prepare for the AP Psychology test. Joyce has helped me greatly in increasing my knowledge by helping me create study guides for midterms and giving me MCQ/FRQ practices for homework. My grade went from a B when I was working with her, and by my last session, it had gone back up to an A! My sessions with Joyce are always very productive, and I walked into the AP Psychology test feeling very confident.

Best Math Tutor Ever
Joyce is one of the best math tutors, if not tutors I have ever had. She was incredibly patient and kind during all of our sessions and specifically catered to each topic or need I had in calc. She helped my confidence tremendously, and allowed me to do well in my calc final and ap test. She was so understanding and supportive.

Best Calc Tutor On Wyzant
I worked with Joyce to prepare for my Calc 2 finals in college. I told her I needed a minimum of 85% on the final to save my semester. When I have only gotten a 85 %+ on 1 midterm that whole semester. I wokred with Joyce two nights in a row before my midterms and I ended up meeting my goals in a very unlikely situation and secured the grade that I wanted. I've worked with a plethora of tutors on wyzant, I always felt like there was a social disconnect with them whether it's due to to the age gap or just their style of teachings. Joyce is as knowledgeable of a tutor as you could ask for and can cover topics with ease despite the late notice on my end. She very well just saved my semester, she's not just a tutor. She's a hero. Thank you Joyce, I hope you can tutor me for every subject.
