I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Louisiana State University, where she served as the Graduate Teaching Assistant. Originally from Taiwan, I have won first place in the Taiwan Music Competition, the Louisiana Flute Society Solo Master Class Competition, and the Cadenza Competition at the CSU Summer Arts Festival. I also received top prizes at the California State University Long Beach Flute Competition. I have performed in concerts across Asia, North America, and Europe. I am the founder and flutist of the flute and clarinet duo, Vermillion Duet, which seeks to explore the clarinet and flute repertoire, especially focusing on works by underrepresented composers. I obtained the Performance Diploma Diplôme Supérieur d'Enseignement de Flûte Traversière from école Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot in France. I have earned a Master of Music degree from the Bob Cole Conservatory at California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

I was an instructor of record at the Louisiana State University for 3 years. I have more than eight years of teaching experience. I teach students of all levels and ages. My students play in various excellent youth orchestra programs and have won numerous competitions and auditions. I am a strong advocate for involving students in their own learning processes. I believe each student is unique, with their own way of learning and expressing music. I tailor my lessons to the individual needs of each student by making a plan with them at the beginning, setting personalized goals, and tracking their accomplishments as we go.

I have recently obtained my Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute Performance degree from Louisiana State University, where I minored in Musicology.
