She will be attending Idyllwild Summer Music Festival this summer as a full merit schoarship student. In 2017-18, Emily won John Child Walker Competition, Musical Arts Competition of Orange County, Satori String Contest, and American Strings Teachers' Association Solo Competition. She is the first place winner of CAPMT VIII OC / JCM Young Musicians Concerto Competition and will performing Barber Violin Concerto with Orange County Collective Orchestra this fall. She participated in the Junior Chamber Music (JCM) and received second prize at Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) VOCE chamber ensemble competition state finals.
