Math/Science Qualifications:

I am a registered civil engineer in the State of CA, performing professional engineering work in the area of structures with emphasis on transportation structures (bridges, retaining walls, ancillary transportation structures and small buildings). I use math almost daily in my job and desire to inspire those who believe math is a tool that is optional at best. I believe I can offer students practical and relevant experience in problem solving skills and hone their computational skills at the same time.

Music Qualifications:

I am a member of the American Musicians Federation, Local 47 (Hollywood). I have been writing and arranging musical compositions since I was ten years old and a member of the California Boys' Choir (now defunct). I began teaching music theory as a recent graduate of the CBC at age 16 after receiving their Choirboy of the Year award along with awards in music theory and ear training. I have studied counterpoint at the college level and am self-taught in orchestration.

I can offer students practical and relevant experience in problem solving skills and hone their computational skills at the same time. I am very patient and genuinely desire that the student learn at least something they did not already know previously.

Do not go on for another year guessing at what the textbook (or electronic syllabus) is trying to teach you. Get the help you need. I can help you. I will help you.
