As a current undergraduate student at the University of Southern California majoring in Political Science, I bring a strong academic foundation and firsthand collegiate experience into my tutoring. In high school, I completed nine AP courses across STEM, humanities, and social sciences — including AP European History, AP U.S. History, AP Psychology, AP Micro/Macro Economics, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP English Literature, and AP English Language. Working through such a wide range of advanced coursework helped me build strong cross-disciplinary reasoning skills, understand college-level pacing, and become extremely familiar with how AP curriculum is structured and tested. Because I’ve already been through the full AP track and transitioned into a top research university environment, I understand what students need not just to memorize content, but to apply it the way exam graders expect.

My testing background also reinforces why I’m qualified to support students preparing for high-stakes exams. I’ve taken both the SAT and the ACT multiple times, and scored a 33 composite on the ACT — demonstrating consistent performance under timed standardized testing conditions. I’ve already helped multiple students raise their standardized testing scores significantly, including students who eventually earned 34s and higher on the ACT. I support students from 9th–12th grade with AP content review, practice question breakdowns, and customized study planning based on their personal pacing and strengths. My tutoring approach centers around simplifying complex ideas into understandable steps, strengthening analytical thinking, and improving confidence during timed sections — especially on tests where pacing and reasoning matter just as much as memorizing content. My goal is to make students feel not only prepared for the material itself, but secure in the process of approaching exams strategically and effectively.

Essay Writing

I have strong experience writing high-level academic essays across literature, history, and social science, consistently earning top marks in both AP and college coursework. I scored a 5 on AP Literature, demonstrating advanced proficiency in close reading, analytical writing, and thesis-driven argumentation. My acceptance into the University of Southern California, where I continue to produce A-level essays in writing-intensive courses, further reflects my mastery of academic writing standards. I also frequently help peers refine their essays by improving clarity, structure, and argument development, making me well-prepared to guide students through every stage of the writing process.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I have three years of competitive mock trial experience, serving as a defense attorney and ultimately as my team’s lead closing attorney, where I delivered persuasive arguments under strict time pressure. This training helped me develop strong skills in courtroom-style public speaking, clear argumentation, and confident delivery. I also completed a college-level public speaking course at a local college with a final grade of 101%, further strengthening my abilities in structured presentations, vocal control, and audience engagement.
United States History

United States History

I took AP U.S. History at Diamond Bar High School, a highly competitive public high school. I earned a 4 on the AP Exam. I can help students understand the material clearly, prepare effectively, and feel confident going into the test.
