Excellent tutor, goes above and beyond expectations!

I took an intensive online Calculus II course this summer, having forgotten most of Calculus I. I feared I wouldn't pass the class, but after his help I achieved A's on my exams including the final. Sean taught me everything I needed to know, was extremely patient and gave insightful examples when I needed them. He teaches mathematics in a way that makes you want to learn instead of it becoming a chore - he shows WHY things work so that it actually makes sense. He offers great tips and insights that I've not found elsewhere online or in-class. I cannot recommend Sean too highly for any student seeking help in mathematics.

Sean did some review of first semester business calc for our son who is going into his second semester. We wanted to give him a boost to review and that helps make the continued progression in class much easier and less stressful. He could review on his own, but.... that wasnt going to happen. Working with Sean as adults going back to school

My wife and I made the commitment to go back to school after careers in food service. We were both fine students but had been years since high school math and a career in food service doesn't really set you up for calculus 1. So we figured working with a tutor was a better option than failing and constantly paying to retake the class. Sean from the start has been amazing to work with, no judgements or snark just genuine interest in helping and teaching. In working with Sean he has shown not only that he knows calculus and college level math coursework but also that he is enthusiastic about the subject which helps bring encouragement and enthusiasm into working on a subject many consider difficult. This has really helped reduce that feeling of failing that comes with learning difficult material. Considering the different tools modern learning has for supplemental material, like khan academy or youtube videos I wasn't sure exactly how well working with a tutor would help compared to the previous examples. After working with Sean for a semester there is no doubt working with a tutor like Sean has increased my competency in math overall, I can ask him tailored questions that help me understand that small aspect of a concept that's not clicking, or confirming algebraic steps that was taught in previous grades that I may have forgotten with no judgement. Finally it is nice knowing that there is a time in the week set aside where homework problems that are not being accepted can be worked on and checked over together which reduces that anxiety of getting all but one difficult problem, plus the learning that comes with solving the difficult problems assigned really is helpful. I could continue to sing Sean's praises as a tutor all day, but this has been long enough. If you are considering working with a tutor or having a tutor help your child I can recommend the experience fully. The confidence in math skills built in tutoring sessions with Sean for my wife and I has made advanced math a more enjoyable subject and we both feel we can keep up with teachers in class lectures thanks to Sean. If you are looking for a tutor for math and more than likely any subject Sean is open to tutoring, you couldn't find a better person to work with.

Engaging and helpful-

Sean helped my son with some pre-calc concepts that he was struggling with. Sean was patient and helpful and made my son feel much more confident with the material. I will definitely contact Sean again if my son has any questions or needs clarification on his classwork.

Sean has been so incredibly helpful for my son in Business Calculus in college. He is very flexible with his hours and willing to help very last minute if needed and not outrageously priced like some others that have not been as good.
