I'm a licensed math teacher (Maryland, Mathematics 7-12) with three years of classroom experience teaching middle school math, and more than 10 years of tutoring students of all ages. My school nominated me for a Rising Star Teacher of the Year award.
Before teaching, I spent nearly ten years working as a data scientist and product manager in banking. That means I can show students where math is actually used in real life, and why it matters beyond the test.

Before teaching, I spent nearly ten years working as a data scientist and product manager in banking. That means I can show students where math is actually used in real life, and why it matters beyond the test.
My goal is to make math fun and meaningful. I start by finding out where your child feels stuck, then break each problem into small, clear steps. We build confidence first, then speed. I'm patient with students who feel behind or who dread math, and I celebrate every bit of progress. I also have experience helping newcomer students and English learners keep up in math while their English grows.
How I can help:
- Pre-algebra, algebra and geometry
- Homework help and filling gaps from earlier grades
- Test preparation and getting ready for the next grade level
- Spanish tutoring: I'm a native Spanish speaker, great for conversation practice and school Spanish
Lessons are online (Zoom) or in person in Danville, for all ages. I'm available weekday mornings and Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
Education: Bachelor's in Mathematics (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and teacher preparation through TEACH-NOW.
Send me a message with your child's grade and what they're working on, and we'll plan a first lesson together.
