I am a devoted husband, father and educator who graduated from the University of California, San Diego (the #6 ranked public school in the nation) with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and a Literature/Creative Writing Minor. I also studied Music at Diablo Valley College in Concord. CA and Biblical Ministry at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Honolulu, HI. I have been teaching/tutoring/mentoring students (primarily K-8th grade, but also some high school) for over 25 years. Ouch! That makes me sound OLD... (I prefer to call myself experienced!)
I specialize in helping students improve their overall communication skills, whether written, verbal, non-verbal or even visual. I also love to teach Social Studies (Biblical History, Ancient Civilizations, World History and US History) as well as Musicianship as a Guitar instructor. Besides my private tutoring, I worked for over 10 years in the Poway Unified School District (the #1 ranked school district in San Diego) as well as for numerous highly ranked private schools in the San Francisco East Bay Area.
