College Student with Strong Academic Background (New to tutoring)

Hi! My name is Emmylia, and I am an incoming sophomore at Michigan State University majoring in Experience Architecture. I grew up in the Bay Area, California, where I attended school and developed a strong passion for both academics and creativity. I currently maintain a 4.0 GPA in college and graduated high school with a 3.71 unweighted GPA and a 4.4 weighted GPA. During high school, I completed 11 AP classes and 6 honors courses, with my strongest subjects being AP U.S. History, AP Government, and AP Environmental Science. I have a creative and artistic mindset and recently completed college coursework in art history, drawing, and graphic design. I am confident tutoring a wide range of subjects, including the arts, sciences, math, and history.

My tutoring approach focuses not only on improving academic performance, but also on building strong study habits, effective learning strategies, and confidence through consistent practice. I believe curiosity and passion are essential to learning, and my goal is to help students become both stronger academics and more engaged learners. Although I do not yet have formal tutoring experience, I have spent years helping my younger brother and supporting classmates with their studies. I also bring insight from my own experiences as a student who has benefited greatly from tutoring and mentorship.

With my current living situation, I am working remotely, so online meetings are the most optimal format for tutoring sessions. Although I am taking summer classes, I am communicative, flexible, and committed to creating a supportive and engaging virtual learning environment for students.
