About Me
I am currently an Honors student at Irvine Valley College, majoring in Biomedical Engineering, pre-med. I am in the process of transferring into Cornell University for Fall 2026. I have consistently excelled in my classes, earning A’s in every math class from trig to Calc I-III to differential equations. In Physics, I earned the top grade in the class, scoring 110% on the final. I also completed both semesters of General Chemistry and both semesters of Organic Chemistry with A’s, finishing among the top students, and I took AP Chem and Honors Chem in high school.

Tutoring Experience
I have been tutoring ASL, math, chemistry, and general study since I was 14 years old. I have tutored in first semester calculus based physics as well. I specialize in breaking down challenging concepts into simple, clear steps and making subjects like math and chemistry less intimidating! I enjoy building confidence in my students' academic abilities. I have motivated many students and I believe everyone is capable of getting an A in math and chemistry.

My Approach
I am patient, organized, disciplined, and motivated. My qualities help my students not only I am patient, organized, and motivated, and I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs. For example, I worked with a high school sophomore who had never earned an A in math; after a few sessions, he not only achieved his first A but became the student others turned to for help. Watching his confidence grow alongside his grades showed me how much tutoring can transform students’ outlook on learning. He has had tutors since a young age but he just could not grasp the concepts of math until we had a few sessions. Seeing his confidence grow alongside his academic success was one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring! I believe that strong academic support doesn’t just change grades, it truly changes how students see themselves.

I am available for online tutoring, as well as in-person sessions for students who live within about 10 minutes of me.

I have excelled in chemistry at both the high school and college level, completing AP Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, and both semesters of General Chemistry at college with top grades. I am currently a Biomedical Engineering pre-med major in the Honors Program and have a strong foundation in math and science, which allows me to clearly explain chemistry concepts. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience and specialize in simplifying challenging topics so students can build confidence and succeed. My students have consistently improved their test scores and overall understanding through my patient and organized teaching style.

I studied American Sign Language for 3 years at University High School, consistently earning A’s each semester and ranking at the top of my class. My strong foundation in ASL allows me to teach both beginners and students who want to strengthen their signing skills. I focus on building clear communication, practicing expressive and receptive skills, and helping students gain confidence in everyday signing. With my background, I can support students in learning vocabulary, grammar, and conversational ASL effectively.

Best tutor I have ever had!

Andia is absolutely amazing! I was her very first wyzant student but I can tell she has tutored for a while. She is so patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. She explained chemistry so clearly to me and made she I actually understood it and not just heard her, which I really appreciate. Most tutors get annoyed when they have to repeat themselves but Andia was proud that I asked her questions about the stuff I didnt understand. She made even the hardest concepts feel manageable. What really stood out to me was how organized and supportive she is... she doesn’t just teach the material, she helped me feel more confident. After just one session, I feel more motivated and capable in my AP chem class. Andia genuinely showed that she cares about my success.
