Hi there, my name is Kianna! I am a second year medical student at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Prior to medical school, I graduated from UC San Diego (’23) earning Summa Cum Laude (top 2% of class) with a B.S. in Human Biology and a minor in linguistics.

This is my second cycle advising students going through the medical school application process. I work with students through all stages of the process, from the primary application, secondary essays, and mock interview prep.

Additionally, I am an experienced tutor with over two years of experience with a variety of students from those in middle school, high school, and college. At UCSD, I was a teaching assistant for an upper division biology course, leading sections of 30+ students in weekly reviews, test preparation, and practice problems.

As a tutor, there is no better feeling than working alongside a student, watching them master a once unfamiliar topic, and be able to explain it back to me at an advanced level and understanding. I am a very flexible tutor and am always receptive to feedback. I am happy to reflect your learning style in my teaching approach to best suit your needs!
