I’m a Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology major in the Honors Program at UC Santa Barbara, and I graduated from Cupertino High School. I spend a lot of time thinking about cells, chemistry, and why exams always seem to arrive faster than expected. I have a strong background in biology and chemistry, including AP coursework, and I enjoy helping students make sense of subjects that can feel overwhelming at first. My goal is not just to help students memorize formulas or definitions, but to help them actually understand what is going on so the material feels less like a mystery and more like something they can handle.
I’ve worked with students in a few different settings, including volunteering with ACEing Autism, where I helped children on the autism spectrum learn through structured, supportive activities. I also played water polo as a team captain, wrestled, and train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ~3 hours a day.
I usually work with middle school and high school students one on one, especially in biology, chemistry, and general study skills. I try to keep sessions focused, encouraging, and low-stress, because nobody learns well when they feel lost or judged. My job is to meet students where they are, explain things clearly, and help them leave each session feeling more confident than when they came in.
