Dear Future Student and Family,
Welcome! I'm so excited of the possibility of working with you and supporting your educational journey. I offer engaging one-on-one tutoring sessions designed to meet each learner's unique needs and goals. With over 10 years of experience in general education, 3 years in special education, and 6 years of ESL instruction, I bring a compassionate approach to teaching. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in General Education, a Master's degree in Special Education, and teaching licenses in Michigan, Illinois, and California- along with a Special Education License in Illinois. I'm also certified in Mental Health First Aid and professionally trained to support students in crisis situations.
Since 2020, I've had the privilege of tutoring students in various general education subjects and teaching ESL and mental health classes to refugee learners. I specialize in Language Arts and Social Studies, but also have experience leading science, health, and technology lessons-especially for students with special needs. My teaching methods are personalized and flexible. I work closely with parents and students to determine what strategies work best, using collaborative, inquiry-based, and game-based learning to make each session interactive, engaging, and fun. Together, we’ll create a learning experience that feels supportive, motivating, and tailored to your success.
I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about your goals and to help make learning a positive and rewarding part of your life!
Regards,
Hira M
